instead it's a world divided
so everything seems one-sided
I feel like an outsider looking in
when really I'm looking in from the inside
people want world peace
but the world's in pieces
so I feel they're being facetious
because all I see is violence
I see why some of us move in silence
both sides want me to take a stand
but understand if I fight fire with fire
or in this case war with war
I would forget what I'm fighting for
so once more I'll explain what I'm fighting for
as many people as possible
to find peace within themselves
because to me that's the real obstacle
and the key to making world peace possible
I'm just coming at it from a different angle
maybe it's not right
maybe it's obtuse
but all I know is that it feels right
because right now I feel a world of abuse
