Don't try to contain it 
because even if you can't explain it
there's an explanation
so if you're looking for affirmation
all you have to do is look there
deep within the scars you bare 
from all the times you've bled 
to all the tears you've shed
from all the nights you've cried
dealing with a pain you couldn't hide
yes there's darkness in your life
but despite any strife
you've managed to be surrounded by light
and no there's no problem with your sight
for this is real 
this is something you can feel 
this is something you can taste
so don't let it go to waste
please don't 
you probably won't 
because you're practically glowing 
are you sure you had no way of knowing
maybe it's time you uncover those eyes love
to see a shine like the stars in the skies above
