L.O.V.E. Notes: Friend Or Foe

When you were a kid
you used to fear monsters 
but you thought they were cool as well
except for the scary ones
if you only knew 
there was a monster living inside of you 
would you still be afraid 
maybe you should be 
that is if it's one of the scary ones 
but no matter how hard you try
you won't be able to get it out 
so just don't let it destroy you 
don't let it destroy those around you 
and don't let it take control 
it could be one of the cool ones
or one of the scary ones
but whatever you do 
don't ever feel embarrassed 
there's a monster in all of us
and we're just hoping it's on our side
