Like This

I remember it being this way
and never being asked to stay
because neither of us wanted to leave 
I know that sounds hard to believe 
but it was something like this
so is it still like this 
or have we both changed so much 
that we've forgotten each other's touch
or the connection we both share 
it's a connection beyond compare 
so is it still like this
because if it's still like this 
I don't know what I wouldn't do 
to remain still like this with you 
and I haven't heard
but is it known by another word 
or is it still called Love
I hope it's still called Love 
because Love is all I know 
and for us to continue to grow
our love must be the same 
even down to it's name 
I do remember it being this way 
so maybe we can just keep it this way
