1,000 (Hope You're Listening)

I could tell you a thousand times  
or write a thousand beautiful poems 
filled with a thousand pretty words 
but if you don't believe me
then I've just told you a thousand lies
is it that you don't trust me 
or perhaps you don't trust yourself 
you used to tell yourself  
everything will be okay 
but when things aren't okay
you take the blame 
now you don't believe in yourself anymore 
so how can I expect you to believe in me
I could tell you a thousand times 
or leave a thousand love letters 
saying I love you a thousand different ways
but if you don't believe me 
then I've just told you a thousand lies 
I don't want to lie to you 
but I don't want you to lie to yourself 
so start trusting yourself 
even when things aren't okay 
because if you can do that 
it'll mean a thousand times more
