Maybe we can pretend
pretend that it's just us two 
even if it's for a second 
I know it wouldn't be fair 
but only temporary 
like something to numb the pain 
at the risk of causing more 
but if it's too much to ask for 
then maybe we can pretend 
pretend that it's just us two 
even if it's for a second 
I know that scares you 
me too 
but how can it be wrong 
when it feels so right 
that's why I rather pretend 
even if it's for a second 
pretend that it's just us two 
because being without you 
just doesn't seem real at all
