Empty Seats

They say your time will come 
and to just be patient 
so once again I'm patiently waiting 
but my patience is fading 
like a patient in a waiting room 
just hoping the doctor will see me soon
hoping he brings some good news 
like you're not dying
so don't ever stop trying 
but I'd be lying if I said I could save you 
very well then
I guess it's up to me then
somehow I knew it would be 
I guess that's how it should be 
my apologies 
they always say patience is a virtue 
without saying impatience can hurt you
so I'm to blame for any bruises 
but they were just bruises 
scars were just cuts
cuts that eventually healed on their own 
so if I remember to be patient 
and that I can save myself 
why wait on someone else at all
