you look up to the sky
and smile at the universe
because you know what
it means to appreciate life
you've come to realize that
there's something even
more beyond the stars
and a paradise awaits
that's just as beautiful
as you can possibly imagine
but you've also realized that
when you have family
friends who care for you
and the love in your heart
for all living things
paradise is a feeling
only the soul can capture
is that why you smile
