I must keep it together
because if I can't
how can I expect to heal
they say it takes time
otherwise you're left with
wounds that reopen
risking infection
from your own thoughts
but if you take too long
the scars left behind
may tell a different story
timing is everything
when seeking closure
in every form of healing
lies a level of discomfort
