You've doubted yourself for long enough
it's time you finally accept the truth
the pain you've carried no longer weighs the same
you've been blamed for what happened in the past
not just by those from your past
but you've also blamed yourself
it's time you finally accept the truth
the past is dead
any attempt to resurrect the past
will result in crippling the one thing you can control
and what you can control is what happens right now
because what happens next is everything
it's time you finally accept the truth
which is that you've never really had to carry the pain
but rather recognize the light inside of you
perhaps now maybe you'll open your eyes
