You could've saved me
brought me back to life 
couldn't you
well maybe you couldn't have   
as it was my own doing 
so I couldn't expect to be saved 
not by you 
or anyone else 
I had to save myself 
or flatline
all the pain I went through
blaming others
shaming myself
it must have been harder for you
my wounds were self-inflected
but I caused your pain
I created your wounds 
so I couldn't expect to be saved
not by you
or anyone else 
I had to save myself
which I was able to do 
I just wasn't able to save us
but at least now we're both alive
