so why do you look surprised
you were taught to be ready for anything
and be ready at all times
but you were never ready
at least not all the time
so you always look surprised
but you shouldn't be surprised
Life is full of surprises
you can't prepare for them all
some will have an answer
others will keep you up at night
some will leave you speechless
others will make you want to tell the world
you know how unpredictable they are
so how's any of this surprising you
Life is full of surprises
but surprisingly you still look surprised
if you were taught to be ready
you should've learned to stay ready
because anything can happen in Life
good or bad
just don't be surprised
when you see that you're able to handle it
