Sufficient

I remember being told 

that I fell from grace

because I rely too much

on my own efforts

and my own abilities 

rather than freely claiming 

what God has for me 

hearing those words

prompted a series of questions

I first asked if they believed

God gave them the strength 

to overcome any obstacle 

or endure many hardships

I then asked if they believed

God gave them the power 

to make their own choices

whether right or wrong

finally I asked them if they 

believed they possessed

true God given abilities

yes to all three questions

at that moment it was clear

I could never fall from grace 

maybe they didn't realize

their focus was on religion

whereas mine is relationship

so if I say that I know 

my abilities are divine 

it's the relationship I have

established over time

don't let your beliefs 

rely on passing judgements

or risk missing out on

more than one relationship
