Vulnerable

I get it

nobody wants 

to be vulnerable

anymore 

so much risk

involved 

a lot of trust

is needed

just to decide

if you want to

let someone in

I know the outside

can be pretty cold

even the inside

from time to time

but I have hope

I'm at my best

when vulnerable

because 

when I'm not

I hide a lot

from the world 

and from myself

there's nothing

wrong with 

being cautious

am I too cautious

maybe

just trust yourself

above all else

I get it

nobody wants

to be vulnerable

anymore

but we can't be

scared either
