If You Dare

Feel free to doubt me
but first learn a little bit about me
if you can see pass my past 
into my heart 
that's a start 
if you stare into my eyes
their in lies the key to my soul
but many are shocked 
to discover that it's unlocked
why keep it secure
just because it's pure
how else will you get to know me
if I knowingly deny you
so why even try to
why try to justify your doubts
just to find out you were wrong
and I've been right all along
I mean this is me we're talking about
but feel free to doubt me if you must
these days it's harder to build trust
and easier to build a wall
so maybe if you get to know me
before you no me
perhaps you'll say yes after all
