More Bubbles

What you're seeing isn't an illusion 

but before you come to the conclusion

that I'm drowning in that sea of sorrow

hoping I never make it to see tomorrow

things are not as they once were

and I know you're thinking

that it looks like I'm sinking

because the old me wanted to sink instead of swim

but I promise I'm not him 

things are not as they once were

not anymore

so what am I under water for

last time it had something to do with bubbles

which I used to hide my troubles 

or hide from my troubles

whichever the case may be

or maybe I'm hiding from the trouble I've caused

and that cause isn't so great after all

after all that's how I felt in the past 

so why would I expect this to last

things are not as they once were

that's why

I'm not down at all 

this is just me meditating underwater

crown and all

so since I've been given this time to borrow

I swam out of that sea of sorrow

into this river of rebirth

because I knew my worth

my reasons still haven't changed

so while you do see me floating there

that doesn't mean I won't be coming up for air
