My heart knew it immediately 
but my mind wasn't so sure 
maybe it was too busy over thinking 
or maybe it couldn't think at all
not with my heart beating so rapidly 
I wanted to be yours so badly 
but how could I be yours in this form 
this human form 
all it does is mess things up for me
you don't believe me 
how come I'm not with you right now
it's because of this human form
there was nothing to think about 
but I kept on thinking anyway
and in doing so 
I sabotaged my own happiness 
like so many of us do
with our fears
fears that never come true
dreams do though 
and you were a dream come true
you still are
so when we meet in the next life  
no human form will keep us apart
